I truly didn’t know how else to title this article, but BHC is quite literally a drug to me, the mere thought of it which has me salivating!

BHC, or “Better Happy Choice,” is a South Korean fried chicken chain that truly has my heart. Offering a wide selection of popular and niche flavors of double-coated Korean fried chicken as well as many other Korean dishes, the mere thought of their food has me salivating as I type this out.

Prinkle Seasoning of the Gods

Prinkle (or “Bburinkle”) is a type of sprinkle seasoning popularized by BHC, which includes the classic snow cheese powder you’ll find at any Korean fried chicken store, but kicked up a notch. With the addition of garlic, sour cream, and onion flavors in the mix, it’s by far the most ecstatic, seizure-inducing fried chicken I’ve had in my whole life. Forget about cocaine because once you’ve tried BHC’s prinkle fried chicken, there is NO going back!! BHC’s famous Bburinkle seasoning can also be enjoyed in their side dishes, such as the French fries, cheese balls, and cheese sticks.

Easy Ordering System

I should probably take a break from salivating over prinkle chicken to talk about the actual establishment. Depending on the store you go to, your BHC may or may not include an ordering screen from the table (most do, I believe). Complete with language settings, it’s super easy to order and keep track of the bill (and your stomach) as you go! In addition to fried chicken, the menu features side dishes, “K-food,” Western-style sandwiches, and drinks.

Tteokbokki and K-Food Dishes

“K-food” or Korean food is a sub-category of the menu that includes iconic Korean dishes such as fish cake soup, kimchi fried rice, and dakbokkeumtang (spicy chicken and noodle stew). I always make sure to get a tteokbokki dish with my Korean fried chicken. The sweet and chili soup, vegetables, and soft rice cakes are a great complement to the crispy fried chicken, even making for a great dipping sauce! You can also get extra tangy pickled radish, which is always a great side dish to offset the heavy flavors and neutralize your taste buds (so you can eat MORE fried chicken!).

The bone vs boneless chicken debate ends at BHC as they simply offer both! Whether you want to wear the gloves and get your hands down n’ dirty or eat elegantly with metal chopsticks, the choice is yours! A fried chicken flavor palette that suits all tastes, from the sweet to the savory, the light to the rich, and the mild to the spicy, you just can’t go wrong dining here. Indeed, BHC is one of those places that truly lives up to its name, because they really are the Better Happier Choice for Korean fried chicken!
